CIAPS is an innovative certification service that is specifically designed for construction, related industries and their supply chains. It  has been developed to enable construction supply chains respond to the challenges being placed upon them. 
 

CIAPS–based certification systems:

  • provide a consistent approach to client and company vetting;
  • use truly independent objective inspection certification bodies;
  • provide performance analysis of participating supply chain members in:-
    • the achievement of prescribed performance values (including the Construction Commitments);
    •  the application of best practice in sustainability, H&S and environmental management; and
    • performance improvement through progressive measurement and benchmarking.

CIAPS–based certification systems:

  • are based on internationally recognised UKAS-accredited certification best practices; and
  • are managed using ‘state of the art’ internet technologies.

  • They are highly flexible – accommodating all levels from private and public sector clients, prime contractors, SME companies, micro businesses, and specialists operating in any construction related discipline.
  • They are an elegant and secure supply chain management tool - by using ‘secure user group’  technology it enables clients or prime contractors alike to manage key information about the supply chain partners down to the individual project level if needed.
  • They can be used by procuring clients/prime contractors to request ‘routine’ PQQ information and additional project specific criteria.
  • They can be used by prime contractors and their supply chains to provide real-time, and in many cases independently verified information, in response to invitations to tender.
  • They can automatically import and export data directly into company intranets/in house subcontractor databases.
